Women in Thoroughbred Racing NT (WTRNT) started as an idea amongst friends during the 2009 Darwin Cup Carnival and has now grown to become a fully incorporated Association. The Association is led by a committed and enthusiastic group of women who share a passion for Thoroughbred Racing in the Northern Territory and Australia.
WTRNT fiercely promotes and fosters the ongoing inclusion of women in the thoroughbred racing industry across the Northern Territory. Through grants, sponsorships and other support, WTRNT have helped Territory girls and women take steps towards their dreams in the racing industry.
Central to the goals of the committee is to provide a social network for members, and to raise funds to support and promote female participants in the NT thoroughbred racing network.
WTRNT are an organisation that stands for women in racing and provides a voice on matters of concern to industry participants. The group engages and participates on race days to promote awareness of the association, and fosters education, training, sponsorship amongst other activities off the track as well.
Our membership numbers are growing year on year, and we thankful for the generous ongoing support of other industry associations and peak bodies.
